I had a long past 2 weeks with having to work the weekend so we had a little fun this weekend. We started off the weekend with "warmer" weather up into the 50s. That was until we drove out to Virginia Beach area with the winds kicking up the temp dropped down to the low 40s. Brr... as you can tell, Ashton was bundled up nicely. Parker had a great time playing catch with Matt. It was just a little too cold to stay for long. I can't believe Ashton is already 4 months old. He is starting to fit into his 3-6 month clothes. I packed away all the 0-3 month old tops and onsies, so we have a new set of clothes to wear. Doesn't he already look like a little man? My parents bought him some shoes. It's kind of silly since he isn't walking but aren't they so darn cute?! And he doesn't mind them yet, so we'll wear them until he can figure out how to kick them off!

Ashton's 4 month update!
How could I forget to update everyone on Ashton's growth? He weighed in at a whopping 12 pounds, 5 ounces, measured 25 inches, with a head circumference of 16 inches. He's still small but he's right on track with his birth size. We're going to increase his bottles to 5 ounces already! He has found his feet and tries to pull them to his mouth. He definitely has his bald spot on the back of his head and the rest of his hair is falling out too. I hope he doesn't end up with the mohawk look!

Ashton is 4 months old!
Today is Ashton's 4 month birthday which means we also had the privilege of getting 4 month shots! He is getting so big and fun. He is finally big enough for the exersaucer. He doesn't always last very long in there but he's starting to enjoy it more and more. He smiles all the time. There's nothing more than going to get him in his crib and he smiles at me. He's also starting to giggle more and more. We're working on starting to sit with support much he still flexes his stomach muscles so he is leaning forward. He has rolled over from stomach to back but has yet to perfect it. He keeps on rolling from his back onto his side but has not yet rolled over onto his stomach.

What a cutie!
I'm enjoying my last weekend as a stay-at-home Mom. I return to work on Monday and of course have some reservation especially with daycare. Of course no one is going to take care of Ashton the way I want them to or how I do it. Well, maybe my Mom or Matt's Mom. I have truly enjoyed staying at home for 3 1/2 months, minus the 1 week I went back to work. Ashton is so much fun now. He smiles and coos so much. And he is just so darn cute!

Screaming!
So, Ashton has definitely discovered his voice and has started this scream thing. The little temper protest was funny at first but I hope we don't have a screamer on our hands. We have gotten so used to Ashton actually behaving in public that it would be so disappointing to have a screamer. You all know what I am talking about... that little brat in public who gives off that awful horrible screach! I hope that's not Ashton. Everytime he does it, I hold him up to my face and give him a firm NO! I'm positive that he has no idea what NO means, but hopefully he will catch on soon!

Happy New Year!
I can't believe 2008 has come and gone! What a year! Almost a year ago, we found out that I was pregnant! From that moment, we went from being free to travel to Europe and New York City to being parents where our lives are determined by Ashton's moods by the hour! Isn't it funny? I can't imagine when one day I will say... I can't remember what life was like before kids. I can still remember! Life wasn't better but I can say that I remember running out to the store with just my wallet. Now a trip out involves the diaper bag, is Ashton's diaper clean, put his jacket on, and lugging that big car seat along.
The last 3 months with Ashton have been such a delight! He is becoming so much more fun! He smiles at me, "talks" a lot, and has become proficient at giggling. I'll have to take a video of it because it will make anyone smile. Our sleep training is much better since we've gotten home from California. It was so nice to be back "home" but Ashton sure did get spoiled by his grandparents snuggling him to sleep. I have to admit that I love to snuggle with Ashton to put him to sleep too. It's hard to believe that in a couple of short months he won't want to cuddle to sleep anymore! So I'm going to enjoy while he will let us! Putting him down to sleep usually involves 5-10 minutes of crying with a max of 30 minutes. We're improving by the day.
As for me, I went back to work this week. It went well mainly because I knew Ashton was safe and sound with Matt at home. We still are in search of a daycare. I have moved up to 2nd on one of my wait lists. My first choice which was right next door to my work just announced they will be closing their doors in June. Another victim of the poor economy. Can you believe they can have a year wait list and still have to close their doors? So, now I am down to being on 4 wait lists and we are still not into any of them! So now we are looking at an in-home daycare until we can get into one that is closer to my work.
I hope everyone is well and 2009 is another great year!
