Ashton really can crawl!

Ashton showed me he really can crawl today! He's been crawling (properly) on and off for the past couple of days and I caught it on tape! Next up... walking!

A day at the beach

It was such a beautiful weekend, we headed to Virginia Beach to enjoy the weather. Ashton was not as excited to see the ocean as his parents. But he did enjoy some dirt

Big boy bath

Ashton keeps on standing up in his baby bathtub so I decided to just put him in the tub today. He still just wanted to stand up and play with the knobs. It's so funny because he kept on dunking him mouth in the water. It was like he was thirsty. We are also working on sippy cups already. I think his favorite cup was one with a straw. Too bad it doesn't have handles for him to hold. It's actually made for toddlers! I have an advanced little boy!

Splashing around

Ashton loves to splash around in Parker's water dish. You can bet on finding him here if he goes "missing' in the house!

9 months old!

Just a regular weekend

Ashton has discovered the camera and this is what I see when trying to capture a cute picture. It was just another regular weekend. Nothing special except I had to work. I wanted to sign Ashton up for swimming lessons but have realized I missed the deadline. I guess there is always next year.

Crawling along

Ashton still scoots along on his stomach but now he uses both feet to scoot along. When he gets to his desired destination, he gets up on all fours and then sometimes will crawl properly.

He walked across the room holding onto his new scooter toy but wouldn't do it again. I'm sure by the end of next week he'll be walking his new toy all over the house! Well, maybe he might crawl first!

It was such a nice Sunday I decided to pack up a picnic. We enjoyed some fresh french bread, brie cheese, dry salami and fresh fruit.

A new toy

Now that Ashton is standing and cruising, I decided he needed another toy! So I went to Toys R Us for the 1st time and purchased a Diego scooter toy. Not sure on the official name but it looks like a little scooter.

We caught Ashton pulling himself up to a standing position. He still hasn't crawled properly mainly because I think he is lazy now that he can scoot along. He gets up on his hands and knees but once he won't move, he just plops down on his belly. He loves to get into trouble and will find old boxes under the bed.
