Weekend pics

Enjoying the nice day outside in his jumper!

Having fun with Dad!

Life is pretty status quo around here. I'm not complaining. Here are some of the pictures from this weekend for everyone to enjoy!

It's all about food

His first food... baby guacamole!
Yummy sweet potatoes!
Put the food in my belly!
Feeding himself squash.
Ashton enjoys eating so much! He has had baby rice cereal and oatmeal - from a box. I had actually thought I might make my own baby cereal for a minute. I have made most of his baby food. It's really easy! Homemade foods include avocado, bananas, sweet potatoes, squash, peas, and carrots. I have zucchini and green beans to make. Other foods - applesauce, the real stuff not the baby food, and of course a few of the baby foods. I can't send homemade stuff to daycare... rules or something like that. So he gets jar stuff there. He continues to eat well. We are still having problems with his naps at daycare but he is getting to sleep on his own better and better. He still has nights where he cries for an hour but tonight he's back down to ~20 minutes. I hope he continues to sleep well! I keep waiting for him to sleep through the night. So far we've only had 2 nights!

Watch Ashton Grow - 6 months

Such a big boy

Ashton has been sitting up with assistance and balancing by himself. So today I decided to sit him up on the bed to see if he would stay. He sat up by himself for quite a few minutes. He's getting to be so big!

5 months and 3 weeks old

And finally! He has slept through the night... twice! I never thought I would get a full night of sleep! But I have been forewarned to not get used to it. I hear they go back to waking up in the middle of the night! Ahhh!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

I had to get a couple of pictures in his cute St. Patty's day outfit. He seems to be growing in front of my eyes. I can't wait to see how big he has gotten. He feels like he is getting heavier and he is finally fitting well into his 3-6 month clothes. I think he is going to outgrow his 3-6 month outfits quickly. I hope he stays in his 6-12 month outfits long enough for me to get my money's worth of them.

Sitting with assistance

Ashton is becoming more and more independent. He can sit with assistance quite well and if we let go for a little bit he can balance before tipping over. It's so cool to see him doing new things all the time. Before he could sit with assistance but either fold over or tip over right away. Now he can go a little while without us balancing him. It won't be too long before all my pictures will be of him sitting up instead of laying on his stomach. Other new things... he loves his rattles. He can pass toys from hand to hand, roll over on demand, reach to grab (and pinch) our faces, and of course, sit with assistance. His foods now consist of baby rice cereal and oatmeal, avocado, sweet potatoes, bananas, and peas. He is quite an extreme baby meaning he is either really happy and laughing to screaming in a quite demanding way. I am hoping he is just discovering his scream and not becoming a screaming baby (our worst baby pet peeve!).

Bouncy Bouncy Bouncy Boy

Ashton loves his new bouncer. We noticed he loves to jump while we hold him so we went and splurged on a new bouncer. He loves his exersaucer too but it doesn't bounce as much. Between the two toys, we can keep him occupied for awhile!

Playing with Dad

You can appreciate this video for Ashton's giggle not for the filmography! :-)

Daddy and Ashton day

Reading the Sunday paper... just like Dad!

Matt and Ashton matched on Sunday so of course I HAD to take a picture. Aren't my boys cute?

Bananas are not so popular

We tried our first fruit today, a mashed up fresh banana. I love the idea of being able to mash up "real" food for Ashton to eat. It seems healthier this way. I have to send jar food to daycare but that's alright.

Bath time!

I like to eat clean feet.

Clean hands taste good too!

I love bathtime!

I caught a splash!

Happy boy

I've caught a lot of smiles this past week. Ashton has been in such a good mood. I'm sure you all won't be able to resist smiling too!

Who's in that mirror??

Is that my Mommy behind the camera?

Tummy time isn't that bad!
