San Diego Vacay

We went on a short vacay to SD. The weather was perfect, what you would expect from the coast. I never realized how cool of a city SD is! It was fun to just visit a couple of beaches, eat out, and then relax in the hotel.
Ashton checking out the ocean

It wasn't long until he was running up and down in the water

He was soaked and we had to buy him new shorts. Even Tim loved the water

Dad and Ashton check out the water

Tim's first sand experience in awhile

He likes it!

And loved the water

Dad had to give him a little help

Violet at the ocean

She preferred the sand to the water

She wants to see the pictures... "I wanna see."

Ashton wants to jump

And he's off

Oso de Oro Park

We found a cool new park with a huge duck pond in town. I didn't get pictures of the duck feeding escapade because I was in fear that the geese would attack any moment. But they were actually quite tame for geese. The only pecking I saw was at the other geese.
Tim enjoyed the space aged, egg swing

Wee!

Ashton and Violet ran through a little maze

Of course, Ashton stopped to smell the flowers!

Yelling in the cave to hear their echos! They kept saying, "It's loud in here!"

This is where we spent a majority of our time. Ashton spent most of the time driving the boat.

Violet wondered off to climb on the rock

I guess the boat didn't hold his attention for that long.

Check out that scaling ability!

Getting ready to jump

There he goes!

Sigh

Playing with a leaf! I told you he was easy going!

Watch Tim Grow

Wow! I can't believe Tim is already 10 months old. He has surely developed quite the personality in the last few weeks. Let's see. What can he do? He is 100% bottle fed, although he prefers to use a sippy cup full of juice! He really doesn't drink much formula at all anymore. He also is pretty much off all baby food. Speaking of food, he has 3 teeth that I can see. The two bottoms and one on the top. But it's not one of the usual top teeth, but the top one to the side. I think that's kind of funny. I can see the top two just underneath the gums ready to burst through those gums any day! He's still crawling but thinks he can walk. He will graze along the furniture and loves to pull up on your legs and walk with you holding on behind. He is still quite possessive of my lap and will pull hair or push to get into the prime sitting spot. He says mamama and dadada. I think it's in the correct context. No other words that I can decifer just yet. He likes to "sing" along with you. We were all singing the ABCs after bath today, and he was "singing" with us. It was cute. And he just learned to wave hi and bye! Cute! What else? He hates the carseat and stroller. Well, he hates getting into them. He loves to turn around immediately and start standing and climbing. I think he will follow suit with the Besmer kids climbing abilities. He can climb up the stairs as well! If he disappears and goes quiet, you know where to find him! All in all, he continues to be an easy going little boy!

Woodward Park Bridge

We live very close to these awesome bridges that I have been eyeballing for the kids pictures. Well, today we took our bikes out and I was able to get a few shots off. I have yet to capture all three kids looking at the camera, but maybe one day!
The best it gets with all three kids!

I had grand illusions of having all 3 kids holding hands. Well, this is the reality of my illusion!

Almost!

Brothers!

Sibling love!

Ashton's bouquet

Such a good big bro

Dad and Tim with standing assist. He will now stand up without assistance if you let go of his hand but not voluntarily. And nope, no steps yet!

Such a good big brother

Love this

Tim ready to get going in the trailer

He loves it

Violet gets tickled from a weed. I love when she smiles with a crinkled nose!

And... doing what she does best! Climbing!

Mama said there'd be days like this...

Mama said there'd be days like this!

Sorry there are no pictures to accompany this story. You will just have to use your imagination.

I am downstairs cooking dinner. Ashton went upstairs to put clothes on after taking a dip in our blow-up pool out back. Next thing I know, Violet comes downstairs telling me, "Ashton need help! Ashton need help!" She repeated this until I get moving. So I go upstairs and yell, "Ashton!" I don't see him anywhere. I can here him say, "I'm behind the door." I still can't see him. Then Violet points to the DRAWER! His feet are peaking through the bottom of the dresser with all of the drawers closed! Yup! He is stuck in drawer! So I can't yank the bottom drawer free as his feet are stuck through the bottom. So I take the middle drawer out to rescue the boy. So this is how my day has gone! Thankfully, the Hubs came home shortly after. Sigh... the story of my life!

And a few more!

Yummy ice pops!
It was a warm afternoon, so I treated the boys to some ice pops! Poor Violet missed it because she was still napping!

A fun blue tongue

Tim wasn't so sure of it at first

Oops!

His shirt shoes how yummy it was!

Using his walker!

Violet entertained him while he was eating dinner!
All in all, it was a good day! We went to church, followed by a long nap, topped off with a homemade meal courtesy of the Hubs! I call that a good day! No cleaning, no cooking, no nothing from me!
