I am so glad I was able to catch this! Violet thought Ashton was hilarious for some reason!! Her little giggle is contagious!

Baby Besmer #3

God has decided to bless us with another surprise! On August 6th, another baby Besmer is going to join our crazy life!

Things to Remember

As Ashton and Violet grow and change so rapidly, I hope to write down little bits and pieces of their personalities.

Ashton -
1. Counts 1, 2, 3, 4, 6...
2. Understands using female and male in context of sentences but not quite right yet. He says, "Her is doing that."
3. Is learning to use prepositions but not quite right yet either. He says, "I are cute" or "Mommy help you (me)."
4. Is totally obsessed with watching Caillou - his new thing.
5. Every time I make him use the potty he cries "I can't do it" and then usually does.
6. When I tell him to go poop, he says "it's in my butt." Hilarious!
7. Is obsessed with wearing his "soft pants" ie. fleece every moment he can.
8. He loves to put his hood on his jacket on because his friend, Jason, at school does the same thing.
9. He loves to watch Wizard of Oz because of the "scary lady" and flying monkeys.
10. He thinks everything has a song. He asks me to sing the "scary lady" song, the "tractor" song, the "garbage truck" song...
I'm sure their is much more and I will add more as I remember.

Violet-
1. Loves to be a part of everything
2. Loves to watch Ashton and everything he does
3. Has learned to wave hi
4. Stood by herself for the 1st time, although it was very momentarily. She was holding onto the bathtub, let go with both hands, and grabbed onto me.
5. Discovered the toilet paper and water in the toilet bowl... gross!
6. Is super dexterous and can pick up everything
7. Loves to play peek-a-boo
8. Gets very clingy when she is sleepy or hungry
9. Has rediscovered the pacifier even though I thought she was weaned off of it
10. Is a tiny little thing but quite fiesty!

Today was her 9 month old well baby visit. She weighs in at a hefty 16 pounds, 5 ounces and measures a whole 26 1/4 inches. She's a tiny little tike!

Huggies Movers 2011 Commercial Song

Many wonder what my life is like these days. I giggle every time I see this commercial. It's like a wiggle to the fight to get Violet's diaper on and the rest of my day is spent chasing after one of the kids making sure they don't do this or that. Basically, this commercial sums up my life on my "days off" from work!

Violet is going to walking in the next month, I'm sure of it! I brought Ashton's old Diego ride-along toy out and put her arms on the handle bar and to my amazement, she took some steps. She walked all the way around the house!

Watch Violet Grow

I looked back to see where Ashton was developmentally at 9 months. From a glance back at the blog, wow! I can't believe so much has gone on since then. Ashton was still scooting on his stomach. Violet has been crawling for months! She is definitely more dexterous than he was. She has a great pincher grab and eats her puffs easily. Ashton used to hand grip them. I think Ashton was just pulling up to stand and Violet seems to be doing it for a month by now. I do have a video of Ashton taking steps with his little ride along Diego toy. I bought it inside and Violet can walk along with it too! She is just now learning to roam along while holding onto things like Ashton's table and the couch. Ashton took his 1st steps at 9 1/2 months old. I think Violet will reach that milestone by then as well. We'll see soon enough. Oh... and I just realized she can wave "hi." I still need to catch it on video but she is an amazing and advanced little girl!

Violet and Parker

I have tons of pictures of Ashton and Parker and very few of Violet and Parker. So here are a few. Poor Parker looks so sad! The bottom of the totem pole now that the 2 kids are here. He is such a good dog. Too bad it's too cold otherwise we could take him out for walks.

I bought this dancing dog for Ashton as a bribe to keep him happy during our Target trip. It's pretty annoying but Ashton and Violet love it. I have caught Violet dancing to it several times. So cute!

Violet stands

Violet tries to keep up with Ashton all the time! She follows him around and likes to keep an eye on him. It's so cute to see her little face light up when she sees Ashton. Too bad I just realized the poor boy had an accident! Oh the joys of potty training! On a positive note, he did "do the doo" in his little potty the other day! And I might add that cleaning up pee accidents are MUCH easier than the poo ones! Ick!
