Violet's tummy time squeals
I didn't catch her rolling over this time but she gave me some cute squeals. It seems like she has gone from doing nothing to doing so much. At 3 1/2 months, she can roll over (both ways - stomach to back and back to stomach), smile, squeals, kind of laughs (which sounds more like a cough), bear weight on her legs, plays in her exersaucer, and she is working on crying it out to fall asleep on her own. She will occasionally do it, but other times it will take her over an hour!

Taking on the impossible
I am trying to catch the two of them - looking at the camera AND smiling at the same time! Have not accomplished my goal yet but these are as close as it gets so far!
It's a hard task to just get them together in the same spot at the same time! Depends on Ashton's moods!

Ashton attacks the pinata
Ashton took his attempt at a pinata at a Besmer family get together. We had a great time meeting with the big Besmer clan.

Violet rolls over!
I don't have pictures or video of it yet, but it looks like Violet is just as advanced as her big brother. She has rolled over at just over 3 months! She is growing up so fast! She also seems to be embracing bedtime a little easier than Ashton did. I can put her down to sleep (only at bedtime so far) awake and she will eventually fall asleep. That is after several times of me turning her soother on and restarting the mobile. But she will do it unlike Ashton who would protest with crying for an hour. My plan is to start sleep training her soon but I am not as much in a rush as I was as Ashton. Maybe if I keep on encouraging her to fall asleep on her own, she will just do it! I can hope right?!

Busy week
Just some pictures of the cutie pies!
Violet's cuteness factor goes up all the time!
She's a very alert baby!
Ashton's "cheese" smile
Violet's big smiles
A date with Great-Grandparents Bob and Betty and cousin William in the park!
Lots of lovin' for this little girl!
From the park, we went to visit the fire station in Fresno. Thanks to my cousin, Danyel's boyfriend for being a "kire mam" as Ashton would say, we were able to make a visit and see the truck. Can you see the excitement in Ashton's face?!
Ashton picks a flower for Mom at Mamah and Papa's house
Boys will be boys! The pre-party to cousin William's 2 year birthday!
Check out that pouty lip! I can see her cry coming a mile away!

The deal of the week
I went to Bed Bath and Beyond to get Riddex, the plug-in that is supposed to repel rodents and insects (ie spiders!) and in the meantime I wondered around and found the Deal of the Week! Sheets for Ashton that include all his favorite things - airplanes, firetrucks, trucks, and trains! So, they were marked down to $21.99 but were a full set. When I asked if they had any sheets in twin sizes they told me no but they were actually ringing up at $9.99 plus my 20% off coupon! Deal of the Week! We'll see if it makes going down to bed easier or worse!

Back at home
Ashton loves to give Violet unsolicited kisses! I think Violet and Elmo get the most kisses. Sometimes he gives his Mommy kisses too.
Trying to get some Violet pictures before Ashton realizes what I am doing
Check out the big boy underwears! Over the diaper at least but we're working on it! He has discovered he can take his diapers off, so I put the underwear on with hopes of keeping the diaper on!
Check out my new do!
Looking for the airplane!
Where did it go?
Head dunk!
Time-out outside for spitting out water!
Playing with Papa's Father's Day card. It sings and despite being left out in the sprinklers, it still works!
Finishing off the day with planting a palm with Dad!
The 4th of July
Family fun times
I made it in!
Enjoying the block party!
Just being Ashton
Some dancing...
And more dancing...
And a head tilt with the dancing!
A day without kids
Matt and I were able to enjoy a day without kids over the 4th of July weekend thanks to my parents! So what else is there to do but to wine taste?! It was a nice day and we explored 3 new wineries in the Santa Ynez mountains.
I wouldn't mind waking up to this outside my window everyday! 2nd best to of course walking outside your door and hearing the ocean! My ultimate goal would be to own a winery and make wine!

Just a day at home
Ashton wanted to hold Violet, so this is as good as it gets!
Cute picture of Mom and Ashton. Too bad Violet was moving.
She made it in!
