This is what my kitchen looked like the 1st day we moved in. In one weekend, we purchased new appliances, tore down the wallpaper, and painted. We replaced the ugly yellow linoleum with updated linoleum.
Matt's Dad, Tom, has spent the week with us helping update our kitchen. He just has one little finishing touch to do but here is my updated kitchen! Matt and Tom got a majority of the work done last weekend with Tom putting the finishing touches this week! It's so awesome to have such handy family members. Matt did the electrical and plumbing and Tom did the countertops, backsplash, and finishing touches!

Notice the lack of dishwasher. Yes, I have been living without a dishwasher for 2 years!
Wow! Check out those countertops! They are the prefabricated countertops available at Lowe's!
Check out the dishwasher! They had to put it on the end since the old cabinets are all one piece. I can't believe how easy it is to do the dishes!

He can now pull himself up on the couch. It really does seem like he is learning to do all these new things all at once. He just started pulling himself up to stand by grabbing up to our hands last week and now he can pull himself up to stand by himself. He has yet to figure out how to crawl properly but he can army crawl all over. He has also discovered how to crawl up steps! We have 2 steps that go up from the den to the kitchen and today he made it up them!
He's still confused about this crawling thing. Doesn't his face show it all?
Yawn... can you see the little teeth?
