Ashton was in such a good mood tonight. He loves to laugh, giggle, and be tickled. It's so much fun!

Ashton had his first "real" food today!! We started with a fresh ripe avocado and Ashton took to it well. All I had to do is mash it up well and add a little formula to thin it down. He really likes to help feed himself and doesn't like it when I feed him. It's messy but it's so cute. Next up on the list... sweet potatoes!

Baby Oatmeal Take 2

We fed Ashton baby oatmeal again. He did much better today! All he wanted to do was take control. Once we gave him the spoon he knew right where to put it! He went right to his mouth!

Just another Sunday

Ashton is just starting to show interest in Parker. And of course, Parker loves the attention even if it includes Ashton pulling on his hair. It was so cute!

Ashton has also started sitting with support. Today I let go and he stayed! These aren't his best attempts at sitting.

On my way down... the hard wood floors don't help cushion the fall at all.

Big Boy

Ashton has outgrown his baby bathtub and loves taking a bath by himself! He just splashes around. It's so fun. And it usually precedes night time!

Just in a good mood

Ashton is accepting tummy time much more frequently now. I can tell he's getting more time at daycare on his belly. He's rolling over pretty regularly now from back to stomach but forgets he can go from stomach to back. He'll figure it out soon enough and we'll have a rolling baby around here.

Ashton's 1st food

Ashton had his 1st attempt at baby oatmeal yesterday. Unfortunately we didn't realize he was tired and was not really receptive. We re-tried it and of course didn't get video of his 2nd attempt but he was much more excited and accepting of his new food. Maybe we can get another video today!

Poor guy

I went to work on President's Day so Ashton had a whole day to his Dad to himself. Unfortunately, he was quite fussy and Ashton was left to cry it out for his afternoon nap. Well, apparently he kicked and wiggled so much he ended up perpendicular to the horizontal part of the crib. He eventually fell asleep cuddled up with his Tigger!

Ashton is becoming so much more interactive and there is nothing more fun that making him laugh! Surely does beat his screaming!

Just another day

Not much new is going on around here. I'm still waiting for Ashton to make it through the night. We got close Thursday night. He slept from 7pm to 3am. But Friday night he was up 2-3 times!! Other than that, the weather has finally started turning around into a Spring-like temperature. I kind of hate to say that for fear of jinxing us. Anyways, here are some new pictures. I think we are going to start Ashton on baby cereal so look for that video soon! Maybe we'll do int next weekend for his 5 month birthday!

After a week in the high 20s and low 30s, a spring day came to visit us here in Virginia. It was a nice day in the 70s so we decided to make a trip down to Virginia beach. Matt went for a run with Parker and Ashton and I sat on the beach and enjoyed some sun.

Ashton has discovered he has feet. It's really cute and just recently he's been able to pull them to his mouth.

Ashton is definitely getting bigger than the Pooh bear. He had fun wrestling with it one night last week.

Ashton has new "words"

I remember when...

Ashton was still a "baby"... he used to arch his back and wake himself up when I was putting him into his crib to sleep. We are now at an age that I am thankful for! I can set him in his crib wide awake, put his mobile and soother on, and next time I check on him... he's asleep! Next goal... getting him to sleep through the night! At least we are down to only waking up once a night! Well, most nights!

Just Another Weekend

Not much exciting happened this weekend. I think we just got through another growth spurt. Ashton was waking up twice in the night and then waking up early to eat. But last night he once. I can feel it... I have faith that he is going to sleep through the night soon! We are definitely growing. We have moved up to size 2 diapers and are moving into the 3-6 month clothes!
