Leaves and Lights

Well, in the spirit of photography, I have attempted to take some creative photos of the kids. I wasn't very successful but it was fun to try! Here are my best attempts!

Cute Thanksgiving Projects

My MOMs group has Art Club once a month and this month we did the most wonderful project! It's super cute!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent a nice Thanksgiving with the Besmer family and then went up for a day trip to visit with the Great Grandparents. It was a family filled and fun long weekend!
Climbing as always! GGs have a neighborhood park that the kids enjoyed!

Princess Tim love to play with Violet's crowns. Silly boy!

Tim got some good cuddling with Tim while he napped

Wow! Violet was swinging high!

It's Christmas Time!

We have officially made it Christmas around the Besmer house. We don't quite have as many decorations to "clutter" the entire house but I discovered quickly that it's not a good idea with little Tim! That little kid not only pulls the decorations/ornaments down but he will also pull off the top attachment so it's broken! Sigh! So, for the first time in 4 years, I have a half decorated tree. Yes, he is the only kid to actually do that!
We went big this year! It's a huge tree!

Notice the ornaments stop half way down. There are so few stragglers that have survived so far!

Ashton and I made a wreath out of some of the branches we cut off. Not bad for free!

What do you do with the glass ornaments when you have toddlers?! Make an ornament wreath out of a wire hanger! Except I searched high and low for those dreaded (and I hate them) wire hangers. I only found one from a dry cleaner that was half wire and half cardboard. So, here is our small ornament wreath!

Some pics of the kids

Well, it's that time of year again and I attempted to get our annual kid picture. Vote on your favorite one!

Option 1: Kids by the tree

Option 2: Kids on the bench

Option 3: Kids on the bridge

Option 4: Kids on the tree stump

Spaghetti Kids

Cheese!

Weirdos! Tim found it hilarious when the kids were "slurping" their spaghetti noodles up. As Violet puts it, "like a dog." Sheesh!

Yummy Yogurt

Well, we discovered Tim loves Greek yogurt! Good news is that 1) it is healthy and more important 2) it keeps him occupied for a good 30 minutes or so! Not so good news... duh, it's gross messy! And oh so expensive! So for $1 on sale, I can buy myself 30 minutes of "freedom!"

Look at What Ashton Can Do!

Halloween Pic

Ashton is the Golden Power Ranger, Tim as a fireman, and Violet as Rapunzel
Wow! I didn't realize that I never posted a pic of the kids and their Halloween outfits. We will have candy for months after only two blocks of trick-or-treating.

Look at What Ashton Can Do!

He can't start or really stop for that matter, but we were quite surprised that Ashton can ride a bike without training wheels! It took all of five minutes and he took off on his own!

A Day at the Beach

All 3 at the beach

Ashton frolicking in the waves

Violet before she fell in the water!

I love this one of Tim

Tim discovers the ocean

Violet reading to go off to "drill" with Dad

During Dad's last drill weekend, Mom and the kids went to meet Nana & Papa on the Coast. It was surprisingly warm, very warm, weekend for the Coast. I had to escape back to the Valley for some cooler weather. But it was an enjoyable weekend!

Fall Wreath

It's finally fall here in Fresno! The kids and I went out on a "nature" walk picking up leaves and sticks. After a trip to the Dollar Store and $4.32 worth of items, we made this!

Looks good up close! I just wonder how well the pins will hold the fragile leaves. $1 for the foam wreath and $1 for the ribbon!

Here you can see how small it actually is.
Ashton's wreath! I decided to stick a candle in it and use it as a candle holder on our kitchen table!

Not bad for $1 foam wreath and an hour of walking!
