Violet is a silly girl

 Violet has the silliest sense of humor! She really is a sweet little girl who loves to smile and laugh. And she is developing into quite a big sister. It's really cute because she wants the baby to sit next to her. She even tries to put his pacifier into his mouth to soothe him. Too bad it's not gently but her intentions are there!

Ashton enjoyed some private Dad time with a special treat out to watch Cars 2. This was his first movie at a real movie theatre and to my amazement, made it through the entire movie! He enjoyed his first experience topped off with some movie popcorn and a Sprite.

While Ashton was away, Mommy got some good alone time with Violet and Timothy. But mainly Violet because Timothy was a well behaved baby. After a feed and a quick nap, he was in a great mood to follow along with what Violet wanted to do. He watched as she took her bath. She was so cute too! As we played upstairs in Ashton's room, without him taking all of his toys away from Violet, she kept asking for "baby" to sit next to her on her little couch. And when I laid him down on the ground, she laid right next to him. She is still learning to be "soft" but has definitely adjusted well to having another little person around. It was cute to see her be a big sister and wanting her to include him in with what she was doing!

Day in Pismo

We, meaning my Mom and I, finally braved going out to Pismo with all 3 kids. We went to Dinosaur Caves, Splash Cafe, my favorite restaurant for clam chowder bowls, and then walked the pier. Timothy was perfect and even Violet was well behaved. It was a fun day! Too bad Timothy was in the Baby Bjorn! I didn't get any pictures of his 1st time to Pismo!

Sleep smiles

How did I forget to mention sleep smiles in my "things to remember about newborns." I love little baby sleep smiles. I actually grabbed the camera because Ashton sleeps the same way, with his arms tucked up behind his head. I wonder if Matt sleeps like this! I don't remember that he did but we'll soon see!

Watch Timothy Grow

I can't believe a whole month has passed by since Timothy was born. The big kids have adjusted well. Ashton continues to be a good big brother and Violet is learning how to be "soft" and "nice" with him which means she pats his head and says "soft" and leans her head on him like she is hugging him while saying "nice".

Things to remember about this 1st month:
The sweet smell of a newborn baby
His super soft skin
He is awake most nights from 12-3am -- fun!
His eyes are more blue than Ashton's or Violet's were -- hopefully they'll be a light brown!
How sweet it is when Ashton wraps the boppy pillow around him and says he wants to hold his baby brother
He nurses all the time!
My favorite -- the baby stretch! I love how his little arms stretch up that barely reach above his head while curling his legs up below his bottom like a little froggy
