Watch Timothy's Expressions

I think this is a funny sequence of pictures. Since he can't talk... it's all in his looks!

Happy Pumpkin Day!

Wow! It's fall at our house. During our walk to the yogurt shop, we picked up a small pumpkin. Which leads me into... it's fall! So, we indulged. After church, I made some delicious pumpkin cinnamon swirl pancakes from Recipegirl.com (http://www.recipegirl.com/2011/09/22/pumpkin-cinnamon-roll-pancakes/) They were delicious!
This is a picture from her link but they tasted as good as this picture looks!
I also indulged in one of my favorite Starbucks drinks. A homemade, pumpkin spice latte. Also, courtesy of Recipegirl.com (http://www.recipegirl.com/2011/10/10/how-to-make-a-pumpkin-spice-latte/).
Again, not my picture. But tastes just as good as it looks!
Thank you recipegirl.com for a Happy Pumpkin Day!

Super Cute Saturday Night

Today started out as a lazy Saturday. Timothy woke up quite a bit, 4 times to be exact last night. He has been wiggling out of the swaddle blankets which get wrapped up around his neck. Of course, this freaked me out and I have since stopped swaddling him... which means he is going to wake himself up. My lazy Saturday quickly became busy. I started with taking down the blow-up pools we have in our backyard. Then I moved onto the mess the kids made while I was being lazy. Soon it was time for lunch and naps. Once the kids were napping, or so I thought, I left to run errands. My goal of the day was to purchase more swaddle blankets. So I headed out to Buy Buy Baby. I parked in front of Marshalls. I went in with hopes of finding a good deal on swaddle blankets. Fail. Instead, I found some shoes for the kids to buy me time until I can run to Stride Rite. Next up, Buy Buy Baby. I found 3, yes 3!, swaddle blankets that I do not have yet. So, I bought them all! I have high hopes that the cheapest one, the Swaddle Pod, will be successful. So we will see what tonight brings! I finished off the day at Old Navy hoping to find some fall/winter clothes for Ashton. Unsuccessful. I came home to a screaming baby, Ashton who never did take his nap, and an awakening Violet. So, off we went on a walk to the yogurt shop. Ashton rode his bike while Violet and Timothy relaxed in the stroller.

The best part of the night was after dinner and bathtime. We were all in the living room. Timothy was sitting on my lap and Matt and I were just watching the kids. For some reason, Violet starts dancing to no music. She was twirling and then would say "Whoa" and fall down like she was dizzy. It was so cute. She puts her arms over her head like she's saying "hurrah" and twirl in circles. Ashton eventually joins in doing his Mickey Mouse "hot dog" dancing. Sorry no pictures Mom. I just enjoyed the moment. I wish I did get it on video though. Maybe another day!

Sunset in Carlsbad

It was the end of the day, on our last day in Carlsbad, so we watched the sunset. The water looked dirty from the red tide. It was a beautiful end to our family vacation!
Trying to get a good picture of all 3 kids... oh so close!

Walking up the hill to run down it again

Yeah! I made it into a picture!

Sea World

Thank you Sea World for supporting our military service men and women! They allow us (2 adults and 3 children) to visit them (for FREE) once a year! So, we took advantage and enjoyed ourselves. I think I enjoyed Sea World more than the kids. Of course, I loved the dolphin show the best!

The cool dolphins!

Ashton and Iris waiting to ride the Elmo ride! Ashton with his "angry" face b/c he doesn't want me to take a picture!

Day at the beach in Carlsbad

It's been a few years since we have ventured all the way down south to the San Diego area. We spent some time down there with Matt's entire family. I never realized how much I like it down there! It is beautiful, without the Los Angeles feel, if you know what I mean. Here are some fun pictures of our first day down in Carlsbad.

Violet with a flower

Violet's hair is finally getting a little longer so that I might be able to "girlify" her! Except she won't let me put bows, clips, or rubberbands in her hair... for long. I was able to get a clip in her hair for a minute! She loves all things girly, so I'm hoping once she realizes it's pretty to put things in her hair, she will be all for it!
