Attempting to get a picture of all 3 kids

Trying to capture all 3 kids who are between the ages of 3 months and 3 years old is a difficult task. But it reminds me that this is my real life. It's not a pretty picture of all 3 kids sitting there on the couch loving each other because let's be honest. That's not real life right? But a picture speaks 100 words right?
It started when Ashton wanted to hold Timothy. Timothy is crying and Ashton just ignores it. Classic.

Violet wants in the action while Ashton is trying to block the shot by kicking his leg up and down. Timothy is still crying... poor kid!

Readjusted them and Timothy is okay for the moment.

Trying to get the "cheese" moment

Violet says cheese, not sure what the boys are doing. Timothy is tolerating it.

Ashton says cheese while Violet points and says "baby."

Photo session is over!

Timothy at 3 months old

Happy 3 month birthday to Timothy! He is definitely our biggest child. I went down memory lane, via the blog, and took a peak at the other kids. I already gave an update on his developmental skills. He makes good eye contact, coos, squeals, bears weight on his legs, loves his swing, has started to scoot backwards when laying down, smiles and "talks" with the other kids, and his favorite of all: when Mommy or Daddy gets close to his face and talks with him. He lights up his face with a big smile and coos, laughs, and squeals! It's really cute! He doesn't get much tummy time so we are still working on that but he is doing better. He can lift his head up but it definitely doesn't last for long. His only real alone time is after the big kids are asleep. He has started to sleep for 4-5 hour stretches at night, but I probably jinxed that now. He slept from 11pm to 3:30am and then until 7:30am! So we'll see if that lasts!

Timothy laughs out loud

How did I forget to mention? Timothy is ticklish on his knees and collar bone! It's so cute!

Violet dances

Not her best moves, but some of them!

Well Baby Updates

Violet's 18 month appointment shows... we can FINALLY turn her carseat around! She weighs a hefty 21 pounds, 8 ounces and is 32 inches long. She is still thin for her height. She has her front 8 teeth and is cutting her 1st year molars (the top have finally broken through) and all 4 canines are coming through. Poor girl's bottom gums are so swollen as those 4 teeth are so close to breaking through. I'm hoping once those teeth are through she will go back to eating like the champ we know she is! She is definitely starting to talk more and is putting 2-word phrases together. She is starting to run, which is hilarious because it's just like a fast walk. Every now and then she gets moving too fast which is even funnier. She tries to jump but is more like she is just raising up on her toes. She has started to jump off things. When I was putting my luggage away, she closed it, climbed on top, counted to 3 (oh she can do that too), and said "jump" and jumped! Sigh! She loves to dance! She is getting into books, coloring and stickers. She is such a girl and loves her clothes and shoes but is definitely influenced by Ashton. Her favorite toys include Ashton's cars and trucks, especially ones with buttons and light up. But she still  loves her little bunny the best! Her favorite foods are chocolate milk, macaroni and cheese, and all junk food! She is her mother's daughter!

Ashton's 3 year growth shows he is 30.75 pounds and is 37.25 inches tall! He is actually tracking right along the 50th%ile . Ashton is 100% boy but is exploring "girl" things. He has discovered princesses and loves to put on Violet's tutu's. He has also discovered Mickey Mouse and likes to be scared by Scooby Doo. He does all things 3-year old boys do - runs too fast, jumps over his brother (yes that is scary), throws temper tantrums that can rival the best of them, pretends to shoot me with his Ironman lasers, loves to play with pretend guns, still climbs up everything, and loves the TV! He has outgrown coloring with crayons and has graduated to twist-up crayons, markers, and highlighters. He loves to help me cook and bake. His favorite toys are his garbage trucks, Buzz Lightyear toys, and Ironmans!

Timothy is almost 3 months old. I think he is close to 14 pounds now! He is going to quickly outweigh Violet, the poor little girl! He smiles and has started to laugh out loud! He "talks" a lot and loves when you get close to his face and "talk" with him. His sleeping patterns are getting more predictable. He stays awake for about an hour and is ready for a nap. He still needs to be swaddled as he woke up every 2 hours without one a few nights ago. Needless to say, I have every swaddle blanket available at the baby stores. He loves his swing and has started grabbing at things. His hands are still in tight little fists but he is starting to relax.

Parker, our 1st child, turns 10 years old this year! He is spoiled beyond a doubt. Violet feeds him most of her food. And the poor guy pays for it later! He spends most of his days inside sleeping and when we venture outside, he does too.

Is it really Fall?

It's still in the 80s here in Fresno. I think it was Fall for about a week before we left for San Diego. It sure doesn't feel like Fall yet. It's the middle of October and we are playing outside sans clothes! But it sure is fun! It made up for the start to our morning which included well-baby visits which meant 4 shots for poor Violet.
Ashton's "beautiful" painting (as he calls it)

Violet's very quick painting

The start of the kids painting

Funny! Violet's not "cheesing" at the camera

This is what happens when I stop watching them. Ashton starts to climb trees!

Getting higher

I love this picture. I wonder what she is thinking?

Timothy just hanging out with the big kids!

Crazy Ashton!

Violet pointing at something? Maybe an airplane? Or a bird?

Just a lazy morning

I declared yesterday "A Lazy Day!" The kids watched a little bit too much TV and I didn't do a thing... until the end of the day when the house was destroyed! But it was nice to enjoy the day in our PJs!
Ashton and Violet snuggled up on the couch! It was cute!

Ashton smiles and tolerates Violet squishing up next to him.

Violet says "Cheese!"
Timothy doing what he does best... watching his toys above!

Timothy gives big smiles!
