Violet-isms

Violet is almost 2 1/2 years old and her vocabulary is growing. But she still has her "Violet-isms."

When she calls Tim to come, she says, "Come on Kitty." I have no idea where that came from!
She calls Tim, "Tim-Bo."
She calls Ashton, "Ashty."
Her "tummy" means her knee.
Seat belt is "bee-selt."
"noisies" is noises
"Gotta be careful"

Her vocabulary is growing quickly and uses complete sentences. Her Pronouns are a little confused but it's neat to see her use them. She will say, "what he name?" Speaking of, she always wants to know what someone's name is. If we flip through magazines, she is always asking, "what her mame (name)?" She loves to dance to music and will put a tutu on to do so. She's 100% girl and loves princesses, getting her hair fixed, maincures and pedicures, and putting in make-up. She picks out her own outfits and dresses herself. Sometimes too many times! I've had to hide most her clothes and only leave a couple of outfits in her drawer. She was changing four to five times a day and with a family of five, I have enough laundry as it is! She is probably 95% potty trained and I rarely have to ask her if she has to go to the bathroom. Occasionally she will have an accident, mainly in the morning as she is done with diapers! She is quickly perfecting her temper tantrum and while Ashton is quick to apologize to get out of the naughty spot, she's much more stubborn. She loves her blankies and her bunny which are definitely her soothing items. And lately she has been very forceful in her speech. It's actually quite hilarious coming from such a tiny girl. Ashton threw her shoe, as a grenade of course, to which she replied, " Don't do that again, Ashton!" hilarious!

Train Ride to Hanford

All aboard the Choo Choo Train!

Ashton enjoyed the experience

A little out of order... this was Ashton anxiously awaiting the train

The Amtrak train
Our Moms group took a quick train ride to Hanford. The layover was only an hour which barely left time to do much except walk to a nearby open park and then go to their famous dairy shop. Most of the pictures have other kids in them, so I wanted to be respectful. But it was a fun, quick trip that we could make longer in the future!

More Soccer

It was picture day for Ashton's 1st soccer season. I'm not sure how the professional picture will come out, but I think this one is a good one! But it made for a long day with a pictures before the game, it was hot and the kids were tired!
Ashton going for the ball
He frequently gets side tracked on the field and I have to yell at him to run and kick the ball.
The parents make a tunnel for the kids to run through after the game!

9/11 Park Day

My Moms Group decided to commemorate 9/11 with our park day by places flags at one of our local parks, Todd Beamer park. Todd Beamer had connections to Fresno and was on one of the planes that perished. This park was dedicated to him with a memorial. The kids all placed flags along his memorial and we (the Moms) all sang the Star Spangled Banner.

Ashton's newest accomplishment

I know it's dark, but we were at a party and Ashton wrote out his name... all by himself! I was pleasantly surprised that after less than a month at pre-school, he can write his name! I was quite impressed! At under 4 years old, and by no part of my own, he is able to write out his name!

A Warm Summer Day

Summer is still well in effect here in Fresno and it's hot as can be! Well, it's cooled down to the low 100's. So, what better way is there to end the day with a cool ice cream cone (mini-sized of course).
Not his first ice cream, just the first evidence

Not the best picture of my sweet, little terrible two year old
