Ashton's "Project" Day
Ashton keeps asking for projects to do! Preschool has been doing a number on him! We finally went to Michael's and he picked one out. We, and by we I mean, I wasn't very successful at it.
This is what it was supposed to be... a haunted gingerbread house
Ashton after eating some frosting
Ad libbing the rest of the house
Since the sides kept falling off and the house came crashing down, this is what survived!
Tim at the Park
More park days gave me another attempt to capture Tim for his "1 year" pics despite him now being close to 15 months! Sheesh! Poor third child syndrome. But I'm trying! I just can't seem to get that picture of him standing up that is adorable!
Overexposed but oh such a cute shot!
Silly kiddo
Probably the cutest one
Playing in the water
All of a sudden he's attached to this blanket. Oh so gross when he drags it around the park!

Day at the Zoo
We joined the Moms club to take a visit to the Fresno Zoo. They have a new sea lion exhibit that is similar to other underground aquariums. Not quite the extent of other aquariums but still cool!
Ashton shows me the bamboo
My big 4-year old

The underground view
Tim thinks it's cool
Tim in the turtle
Violet on the platypus?

Vancouver Trip - Minus the Kids!
We had the chance of a lifetime to attend a traditional Hindu Indian wedding for one of M's law school friends. We jumped at the chance to not only witness their wedding but also ventured out into a new country, Vancouver, Canada. It was such a wonderful weekend for M & I to reconnect. Thanks to my parents for watching the kids and allowing us some kid-free time! Since everyone comments I am never in a picture, here are quite a few of Matt & I together!
In my wedding reception dress off the groom's balcony
Our traditional Indian wedding attire for the wedding ceremony
Enjoying a water bus to transport us to Granville Island
On the yacht ride for what I considered similar to the wedding rehearsal, except they included the entire wedding! Nice!
Full view of our wedding attire
A view from the groom's balcony
M somehow got included in a street performer's show!
The view from our balcony
View of Vancouver from Granville Island

Violet-isms
Violet is almost 2 1/2 years old and her vocabulary is growing. But she still has her "Violet-isms."
When she calls Tim to come, she says, "Come on Kitty." I have no idea where that came from!
She calls Tim, "Tim-Bo."
She calls Ashton, "Ashty."
Her "tummy" means her knee.
Seat belt is "bee-selt."
"noisies" is noises
"Gotta be careful"
Her vocabulary is growing quickly and uses complete sentences. Her Pronouns are a little confused but it's neat to see her use them. She will say, "what he name?" Speaking of, she always wants to know what someone's name is. If we flip through magazines, she is always asking, "what her mame (name)?" She loves to dance to music and will put a tutu on to do so. She's 100% girl and loves princesses, getting her hair fixed, maincures and pedicures, and putting in make-up. She picks out her own outfits and dresses herself. Sometimes too many times! I've had to hide most her clothes and only leave a couple of outfits in her drawer. She was changing four to five times a day and with a family of five, I have enough laundry as it is! She is probably 95% potty trained and I rarely have to ask her if she has to go to the bathroom. Occasionally she will have an accident, mainly in the morning as she is done with diapers! She is quickly perfecting her temper tantrum and while Ashton is quick to apologize to get out of the naughty spot, she's much more stubborn. She loves her blankies and her bunny which are definitely her soothing items. And lately she has been very forceful in her speech. It's actually quite hilarious coming from such a tiny girl. Ashton threw her shoe, as a grenade of course, to which she replied, " Don't do that again, Ashton!" hilarious!
