During Dad's last drill weekend, Mom and the kids went to meet Nana & Papa on the Coast. It was surprisingly warm, very warm, weekend for the Coast. I had to escape back to the Valley for some cooler weather. But it was an enjoyable weekend!

Fall Wreath

It's finally fall here in Fresno! The kids and I went out on a "nature" walk picking up leaves and sticks. After a trip to the Dollar Store and $4.32 worth of items, we made this!

Looks good up close! I just wonder how well the pins will hold the fragile leaves. $1 for the foam wreath and $1 for the ribbon!

Ashton's wreath! I decided to stick a candle in it and use it as a candle holder on our kitchen table!

Not bad for $1 foam wreath and an hour of walking!

Ashton at 4 years old, Tim at 15 months

We had the pleasure (sarcasm) of having a combined pediatrician visit for Ashton's 4 year old and Tim's 15 month well baby visit.

Ashton at 4 years
36.5 pounds and 40.25 inches which is right about the 50th percentile for his age
He had the pleasure of receiving all of his vaccinations required for kindergarten, four total shots plus the flu mist.

Tim at 15 months
23 pounds, 9 ounces and 32 inches is about the 50th for weight and 75th percentiled for height
Tim got one shot plus the flu shot

Violet was lucky enough to escape with just the flu mist!

All in all, six shots and two flu mists with minimum drama. Thankfully Ashton handled his shots with minimal crying. Aston and Tim were rewarded with lollipops, from mom and violet got a sticker since she didn't get any shots.

Simonian Farms

We finally took the kids to the pumpkin patch last weekend. We went out to Simonian farms. We looked around the pumpkins, Ashton and Dad went through the haunted caboose and few times, and we played in their saloon area. Ashton had fun with the shooting game that was quite extensive. Each time he hit the bulls-eye, the game would interact. Such as the car would move, the bird would move, etc. It was fun!

We've Been Boo'ed!

My friend told me that she had been "boo'ed." So I decided to try to start "boo'ing" in our neighborhood. Unfortunately, their Halloween spirit has yet to spread. I found the most decorated houses in the neighborhood, but they still haven't passed along the spirit. Boo on them! Anyways, we had most of the treats. I bought the bags and tossed on some early purchased Halloween candy and everything else we had! I hope they pass it on soon! Ashton and I had fun taping the signs on their door and leaving a special treat for them to enjoy!
