Just Some Sibling Lovin'

I often hear, "Long days, short weeks!" Well, that certainly feels like our lives lately. The days are endless but at the end of the week or month, I say, "Where did the time go?" Well, the blog has been neglected, as well as my camera has been short used. But this is a daily occurrence in our house, as well as all the soon to uploaded videos! The kids generally play well with each other and often cuddle up on the couch to watch TV. Some favorites right now are Dora (Violet), Tim still loves Baby Einstein, and Ashton loves Transformers.

This is a daily occurrence! I turn my back and Tim has pulled something to stand up on to climb up onto something!

Violet Draws Circles

Have I mentioned how cool my Moms Club is?! Well, we do lots of fun activities weekly with them allowing the kids to develop social skills and new friends. As well as new friends for me whom I wouldn't normally be in contact. So it's a great social outlet all around. Anyways, another benefit is hand-me-downs, both ways! I can get rid of some of our stuff and the kids get cool stuff as well. Well, this easel is the benefit of a hand-me-down! And Violet is working on her writing development and can draw circles, with both hands! And is working on drawing faces.
She remains quite ambidextrous!

A Little Bit About Tim

Tim is just under 19 months now and is developing quite the personality. He has always been easy-go-lucky but lately he is able to communicate what he wants more and more. He loves to have his picture taken. This is his "cheese" face. It's hilarious how he scrunches he eyes and nose up. He loves bubbles and will scream, "bu-bble" until he gets some. His second favorite thing are balloons, or "ba-doos." He loves the swing in front of our house but doesn't really like to swing in it but prefers to hold on and swing back and forth while holding on his stomach. He loves to laugh and it's adorable to hear his giggle. We had a little issue with iron deficiency anemia but hopefully that is resolving but it was a little nerve wracking to this mama since the nurse practitioner mentioned that Asians can have special types of anemia. He is definitely trying to hang with the big kids more and more each day. He has the funniest little run and practically runs everywhere he goes. Which is similar to both Ashton and Violet. I remember them both always running from A --> B. He still loves Baby Einstein. His favorite songs are Wheels on the Bus, Old MacDonald (and sings EIEIO), Twinkle Twinkle. Let's see, what else? He can be a little terror as he loves to throw things and take things down, specifically anything on the fridge. Um, he is quite the big boy and is at the 75-80th%ile for height, weight, and head. He has officially surpassed Violet in weight (~26 pounds) but not yet height. I think the kids are ripping about the house, so that's all for now!

Our Usual Late Afternoon

Ashton has become quite the proficient bike rider, so everyday after naps, we all go outside for some outdoor play. He has also learned to, sort of, ride on his skateboard too. I was afraid it would shoot on from beneath his feet and he would end up on his back, but to my surprise, his balance is pretty decent. He might be a BMX'er one day! Violet loves to ride around on our hand-me-down princess scooter from our across the street neighbor and Tim loves bubbles! Loves love loves bubbles!

Evening thankful prayers

Snow Day at Shaver Park

We finally made it up to the snow! After missing last year, we went! We had to do some shopping before leaving, but we got what we needed and had a blast!

Ashton and Dad play in the snow

Whoa! That's some sledding!

Feeding the Ducks at Woodward Park

We ventured out on one of those chilly mornings with some other brave Moms from my Moms club and it ended up being a great morning! We fed the ducks and didn't even have to kick any of them back! Ashton had tons of fun climbing the trees and Tim loved the slide!

Tim got a little static action from the slide!

Ah, the ducks and geese!
