Day 3 of Cayucas

Actually, Day  we had to come home and work. I only worked for a day before heading back, but this was my Day 3. We hit the ground running. The pictures are out of order through the day. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I title my pictures when saving them so they are sequentially out of order but titled for me to remember when they were taken and what they are of! Semantics!

Anyways, we hit the ground running, as I said. We were out of the house by 8:30am to see the tide pools during low tide. It made it much easier to explore around the rocks! My little ones fell asleep while the rest of the family explored Morro Bay. We, the little kids and Grandma and Papa, headed to the beach in the late afternoon while the big kids slept off their daily trip!

A beautiful morning in Cayucas

Heading on out to explore the sea shells washed ashore

We walked the pier at first

Tim loved the "water snails."

We even found a star fish!

Papa Tom discovered how to fly our $1 store kites! He had to weigh it down with his sock!

A mighty fine view from the tide pools

Afternoon, Sandy Tim

Tim loved the oranges from the orange tree at the beach house! He carried them around everywhere!

I love the calmness of it all!

Relaxing in the afternoon

Day 2 of Cayucas

We spent most of the day with the Great Grandparents again while we waited for the rest of the family to get into the beach house. We had fun walking around a Peddler's Fair and spending the entire day at the beach!

Exploring the tide pools once everyone else joined us!

Iris found a crab

Great Grandpa treated the kids to ice cream! Can you see the sugar high?!

Mommy and Violet hung back as the big kids went around the rocks in the tide pools. This is as good as it gets with a camera perched on a rock set on timer!

But it was a pretty view

Can you tell Tim liked his ice cream?!

Day 1 of Cayucas

We arrived a day early and spent the day with the Great-grandparents. It was a great way to kick off the family vacation plus he got an extra day out of it since he had to go back during the week to work.

The kids loved running into the ocean!

Guess who's up there?! Who wanted to climb all the rocks?!

Mr. Ashton

Warming up in the sand

Tim loved running in and out of the water

It wasn't long before the kids clothes were soaked!

Tim was the first to get soaking wet!

Pretty girl!

Violet's turn to get warm in the sand! Although she didn't like getting dirty! It was funny! She even threw a fit because there was sand in her flip flops so she ran into the ocean to wash them off. She put them back on only to discover they get even more dirty!

The Besmer Family Vacation

So far, the Besmer Family has taken a big family vacation. This year it was in Cayucas. It was a nice escape away from 100+ degree weather in Fresno and of course, great family bonding time and memories made with the young cousins. There are quite a lot of pictures, so bear with me!

The view from Morro Bay Rock
My goal of the trip was to capture all 6 grandkids together in one shot! It was quite the feat!
The ages of all six grandkids - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6! It only works for 10 days!

And one on the way, age 0!

As good as it gets with six kids under 6 years old!

Happy 2nd Birthday Tim!

Happy Birthday Tim!

Tim loves Elmo! I made ice cream cupcakes - I did use boxed cake mix, chocolate chip ice cream, and made homemade cream cheese frosting. Yummy!

Tim's loves the Happy Birthday song!
Wow! Tim is now 2 years old! How did that happen? Well, he is growing up quickly. Let's see... he loves bubbles, Elmo, and choo choos (trains). He loves to watch Elmo, Dora (via Violet), Caillou, and Baby Einstein on TV. He carries his "be-be" (translation: blankie) everywhere we let him. And he has to carry all of them... oh, about 4-5 of them around everywhere!! His vocabulary is expanding and I think he knows more than he communicates. His favorites are "jue" (juice), "opedit" (open it), "where didit go?" His favorite songs are Happy Birthday, If You're Happy and You Know It... hmm, I can't think of them now. He loves music and thinks he can snap by opening and closing his thumb and pointer finger while clicking his tongue. It's cute! And he has discovered his love for swimming! Let's see... what else?! He's a great cuddler and loves his Mommy! He loves to throw away trash and sings the "clean up" song. He has learned how to put his Crocs on, usually backwards! The boy loves his sweets - all things candy, cookies, ice cream! Despite his love of junk, he is a good eater. If you can't find him, he's usually opening the fridge pointing to what he wants. His 2 year well baby check is next week, so we'll see how big he has gotten!
