Meeting Nanay

Great Grandma Tomate with the girls
We headed out to visit Nanay in Santa Maria since my Mom was here to help. Plus the kids have been itching to go to the beach! We stopped at Great Grandma Perta's house to visit along the way.

Nanay loved having the kids around to visit with her

How does Nanay have picture with all 4 kids and I don't?!

My Nanay. She's a wise woman! She loves to remind me of driving me to school in her beat-up white car. Nanay, you don't have to remind me! It used to die right in front of the school and I would duck so no one would see me! Those memories are forever etched in my brain! Oh, the embarrassment to a pre-teen girl!

The Kids Love Their Sister

They had to get in on the photo session action! Ashton and Violet love to hold their baby sister and Tim gives gentle hugs! Smile kids!

Eliza's Tummy Time Pictures

Well, since the doctor told me I need to work on tummy time with Eliza, here it is!
Not sure I like this Mom! Or was she looking at Nana saying, "Pick me up!"

"Hmph, I guess I'll stay here."

"It's not so bad I guess."

All the Kids at 2 months Old!

Everyone says Eliza looks just like Violet. But side by side comparison, E looks like A the most at 2 months! It will be interesting to see how she changes over the next few months! At 2 months, I think she is definitely the hardest baby to put to sleep. I think she has gotten used to sleeping by me! I hope this doesn't become a worse problem as the months go on. I am "enjoying it" as much as possible for now but it makes for a tired Mama!

Watch Eliza Grow - 2 months

Eliza is 2 months old. She is smiling a lot more and getting more demanding about being held. She prefers to sleep in my arms or in her swing. She only goes 2-3 hours between feeds which makes for long nights for me. I have to remember that she's my last baby and it's the last time I will have to do this. Everyone says she looks like Violet. I think she does too but everyone comments about her hair. Violet had hair until she was 6-7 months old, so we'll see.

Ashton Completes Kindergarten

What a difference a year makes! Ashton has grown so much academically. He still is working on his maturity as he is young for his age. It seems like everyone holds their child back a year but I feel like he's smart enough to stay appropriate to his year in school. His progress report shows he has mastered all of the components of kindergarten except he is still "progressing" in his "self-control, listening, and following directions." Hmm, yes that's about right!

But it's amazing what kids are learning in kindergarten. He is writing sentences and is fairly good at sounding out words. He still writes some letters backwards but we can work on that this summer. He loves math and can count onto forever and can count by 10s. He can do addition and is learning simple subtractions. They learn about 3D shapes and at the end of the year learned about plants and animals.

So, now onto summer! Heaven help me!
