Wow! Has 6 months, a half of a year, already gone by with a blink of an eye?! Eliza turned 6 months old today! She is doing well. She has been at daycare for 2 months now, has caught two colds, and one ear infection warranting her first round of antibiotics! We are still in the midst of that! She is a very happy baby, until she's not! She loves being around her brothers and sister and they can easily make her laugh. She gets around quite a bit these days pushing her toes along and is even getting onto her hands and knees trying to rock herself back and forth. She is eating all sorts of baby foods. She doesn't quite like bananas, but likes almost everything else. She still has yet to sleep through the night consistently for me, but will go about 8 hours straight and then is up every 3-4 hours which means I am up at least twice a night. She still loves to smile and laugh, with a little squeal. She loves to snuggle with her Daddy and loves to laugh at her brothers!

Just for Fun

I can't believe it's October! It's supposed to be fall around here, but as we go into the afternoon day of Fresno it's approaching the 90s! But we can hope for fall! We've put out our Halloween and Fall decorations and soon the weather will cool off!

But I did get some super cute pictures of Tim and Eliza. I was attempting to get some new ones of Eliza. She grew right before my eyes and Tim was being super sweet! I hope they continue to have a sweet bond.

Strawberry Music Festival

It has been a Besmer family tradition for the inlaws to attend the SB Music Festival twice a year. It's a big music fest with overnight camping, arts and crafts activities for the kids, and good cooking. This year I was coerced into going, kicking and screaming (only a little). I'm not much for camping but did enjoy myself once I was there. The best part being NO cooking and good music! It was hot as can be which was no pleasant but made for decent nights. The kids had a blast running around with lots of freedom and of course, lots of fun with their cousins.

Viewing Youtube is a daily occurrence in our family. Whether it's watching our old videos or videos of other kids. Ashton's favorites are the Skylander girl and boy and EvanTube. Just kids playing with specific toys and telling you about them. But it made me realize we don't have many videos of Eliza. So I tried to get one of her laughing, but no cigar!

Kidisms

I just had Tim's 3 year well child check and he is 34 pounds and 36 inches, putting him at the 60% and 70%th%ile for weight and height! Wow, he's definitely our big kid. Tim really is a funny guy. His newest favorite thing to do is "make cupcakes" with Violet's toy kitchen. He has discovered her tea kettle can be filled with water, which he uses to fill up the cupcake tin, and then he cooks them for Nana! We went to Costco last week and he coveted some kitchen appliances, which Dad got them surprisingly! Tim has never really shown an interest in toys, so it was a fun experience. They are working coffee maker, mixer, and blender that can be filled with water. He loves them. Tim is a super sweet kid and is really independent. He said the sweetest thing the other day. Our Godmother's dad recently passed away and we attended the funeral. The funeral was not at the church we attend. On the way there, I'm trying to explain to 3, 4 and 5 year olds what a funeral is. I explain that we need to go to church to pray for him because he went to heaven. So, we get to the church and Tim realizes, "This is not our church. Is it heaven?" Oh, so sweet!

So, let's review our kidisms. This is what I refer to their special words that I hope not to forget!
Restanaut - still restaurant
Violet says, "washer shamine" - washing machine
Tim says, "robin" - rotten. He told me the other day his juice is "robin."
I've heard a couple more in the last couple of days. Tim says "yoyurt" for yogurt and he says a lot of "Ws" as "Ls." For example, roll down the "lindow." 
Hmmm, I will need to write these down as they say them. I know there are more kidisms in our daily life!

We stayed at home this Labor Day weekend and Dad wanted to do something fun. Not my idea of fun with a 4 month old, but it was fun in the end. I was pleasantly surprised how well Tim did.

Watch Eliza Grow - 5 months

Technically she is 5 months tomorrow, but I work all day and didn't want to forget her Pooh picture. She is getting so big, so fast and I can't believe she's 5 months old. I just realized I haven't been a good picture taker of her infanthood, so this week is dedicated to getting a photo session in for her. She loves to smile but difficult to make laugh. She has transitioned well into daycare and even caught her first cold. She rolls all over the place and naps quite predictably now. And last night, she only woke up once for me! Happy five months Eliza!
