Spring Break Fun

Our neighbor invited us to his art studio where they do glass blowing. I can't believe I didn't take pictures!! Ah! It was so neat and mesmerizing! Anyways, the studio is in an old, industrial part of town which I thought would be a cool place for pictures. Tim was done with our picture taking session after a few minutes, but this is what we got!

Cool old siding with Ashton's favorite color, green!

Oh so close to getting them all to smile!

Can you see Tim is fading?!

I've always thought it would be a cute picture with them on the train tracks!

Big cheese!

Cheesy Violet

Big hugs!

Almost all smiling again!

Cute V!

Silly Ashton

I think Violet's face expression is funny here

Fun on the tracks

Tim is done!

As good as it gets from Tim!

Bring Down the Holidays

As a SAHM (stay-at-home Mom), I feel like I am "supposed" to do homemade arts & crafts, photograph every moment, and yes, play up all those holidays. Well, the holidays are crazy these days! I love this article from the Huffington Post. I sent the kids to school/daycare with those boxed Valentine's cards. That's what I did when I was little right?! I even bought the ones with toys, tattoos, etc. The "fancy" ones right?! Well, what did the kids bring home?! Bags full of candy, pencils, mini packages assembled by one kid! Wow! I guess I didn't pinterest Valentine's Day well enough. And when did St. Patrick's day become such a big day when a leprechaun visits your home?! I didn't know that! I found out about that on many Facebook friends posting. Green footprints left behind?! Really! I'm going to try to stick to what the holidays are about. Why do we celebrate St. Patrick's Day? What does Valentine's Day mean? I'm sure as the years fly by I will get sucked into the holidays but really... how is a working parent supposed to keep up with these inflated holidays?! Just my 2 cents!

Words to Remember

I always laugh at the kids words... so let's share.

Restaurant = restanaut (like astronaut)
Bathing suit = babing soup (Violet)
Balloon = badoo (Tim)
Be-Be = blankie (Tim)
Ding Ding = railroad crossing (Ashton)
Ashton = Ashty (Tim and Violet)

That's all I can remember for now.

Violet rides her bike

We also have an awesome neighborhood! Violet has a hand-me-down bike from our neighbor from across the street, jimmied courtesy of Papa Tom with Ashton's left-over training wheels.
