And to the Beach We Go!

I can't believe it's January and it was warm enough for the kids to put on bathing suits! Not only that, but even I was able to wear a short sleeve dress! Maybe it was just the baby keeping me warm?!

Violet loved playing in the sand

Ashton and Violet are good buddies

Tim and Violet have a good relationship too!

Big hugs!

I love this progression of pictures. Tim's face shows his joy of the water and waves

A good pic of all three!

Tim didn't quite enjoy being thrown up in the air! He wouldn't let go of Dad's arms!

Ashton still enjoys flying

Tim at 2 1/2 years old

I was talking to someone recently about funny things our kids say before they can actually say the word. In a way that only a mom can understand what the kid actually wants. For example, Tim used to call water, "ow-a." It took me quite a few times for me to understand that was his version of water and it only came to light when he was actually pointing at the water dispenser on the fridge. Now, of course, he can say water clearly. Updated: I remember Tim calls a rubberband, a "hus-band." I don't know why, but he consistently will find a rubberband and say, "hus-band."

Let's see... what else? Tim has, all of a sudden it seems, become a big boy! Not only is he talking up a storm, he is also finally potty training. It's hard to potty train a little kiddo when we are running from spot A to B, but with quite a few bribes, he can do it. I'm not sure if Tim is withholding the goods in exchange for treats?! But as far as Tim's speaking goes, he speaks in complete sentences. When I asked him, "Where did your blanket go?" He tells me, "My other 'bee-bee' is washing." He still uses "Bee-bee" for blankies. I can't think of any other words he uses right now. I will have to think about that one! What else about this kid? He LOVES to climb and he's crazy! He tumbles, and by tumble, I mean more like dive rolls on the couch, he dives head first off the edge of the couch onto pillows, and he climbs up and down the bunk beds on the outside! He prefers to sleep on the top bunk, while Ashton prefers the bottom. They still share the bottom bed often, but I think he likes his own space as well. The kid drinks like a camel in need, easily downing 8 ounces in minutes! He doesn't much care for toys, but will occasionally play with the simplest of toys, like the Melissa and Doug train. He actually prefers TV shows - like Caillou and Dora. He likes the movie, Nemo. I think at this age, Ashton was really into garbage trucks and Cars. Tim is just happy playing with his big brother and sister!

It's blurry since it's from my phone, but look at that Big Boy Timmy!

Pismo Camping Trip

We headed out to Pismo last weekend and enjoyed the very un-winterlike weather! It was cold at nights but a warm 70 degrees during the day. My sister-in-law and her hubby brought their RV, so it wasn't the typical camping trip that I was expecting. It was actually nice. Plus there were restaurants and the beach around!

Tim didn't want his picture taken!

Violet either!

I'm not sure what was on Tim's face there

Hanging out in Avila

Yup, more balloons

Caught them on camera!

See the cool dolphins?!

Onto the seals? Sea lions? Whatever they were, they were loud and stinky!

Making It Official

My belly is growing and I might as well as make it "Blog Official." I am now 26 weeks and the baby is growing well. I am doing well. Thankfully, I fairly benign pregnancies and after the fatigue and headaches of the first trimester was gone, I have enjoyed it so far. I find people are much nicer to pregnant women and feeling the baby grow in my stomach and kick and move is always pretty cool. I take my glucose test this coming week and then I will be in my third trimester the following week! And then in 3 short months, we will have yet another Baby Besmer here!

One More Celebration

After San Jose, it was onto Santa Maria with a Pismo Beach stop. We saw Nanay, Nana, Papa Domi, Auntie Virgie and Uncle Tony. Unfortunately we missed a lot of other family members.

Tim loved the sand!

Violet too!

More Christmas Day Celebrations with Great Grandparents

After a fun filled morning, we headed to San Jose for more Christmas celebrations! The kids loved seeing their cousin Iris! The kids had a lot of park playing time, playing with their new toys, and getting some good family loving!
