18 weeks belly post

Well, it looks like my weight gain has caught up. And I was worried for nothing! I'm up 7 pounds now!

Well, here we are 2 weeks later! http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=hllnzph.c7gbacrt&x=1&y=5yjwka&localeid=en_USHere is the link to the kodak gallery. You can watch me grow from beginning to my current state. According to all the baby sites, I should start feeling the baby move soon. Sometimes I feel little twitches, like when you're eyeball twitches when you are tired but in my lower belly. I'll let you know if it's the real thing as I get bigger.

Take the survey on the side! Pudgy or pregnant? It's okay! It's anonymous and I still think I look pudgy!

Parker excited to go for a walk

Parker gets so excited when we are going for a walk! Just wanted to share in his funny noises. I'm trying to get back into the exercise regimen routine. We went for a quick 3 mile walk.

What a busy Friday!

Before mowing
After mowing

Well, today was NOT the day off I imagined or hoped for! I took the day off to make up for having to work the weekend. My day started out taking Parker to Petsmart for a desperately needed grooming. Then off the Langley Air Force base for my first OB appointment with them except all I got to do was meet with a nurse. Thanks for wasting my time! Now when is my first appointment with a doctor and when do I get my ultrasound. So to answer those questions... I get to meet with a nurse practitioner, not a doctor, next Friday and the ultrasound will be scheduled for after that ~20 weeks. Then, as you can see the lawn was also in desperate need of a good mowing. So I mowed both back and front yards. Thanks to the mower handle and the thickness of the grass, my thumbs have so nice blisters on them. Reminds me on my gymnastics/pole vault days. But I didn't stop there! On to the house! So our house also hasn't been cleaned in weeks, maybe even months! So, I decided to Spring Clean the house from head to toe! But at least everywhere I look is clean and pretty, including Parker!

Still trying to run...

So I have discovered that running while pregnant is not going to be as easy as I thought. So yesterday turns out to be one of the nicest days for us in a long time. Finally a day without rain, a little sunshine, and warmth. So, I start my run and not even a mile away from my starting point, I realize uh oh... I have to pee. TMI I know! So thankfully there is construction nearby so I stop thinking I MIGHT use the port-a-potty. Well... wrong! GROSS! What was I thinking??? So, I continue with the urge getting greater because that's all I can think of. So I stop at a fellow coworkers house. Thank goodness she lives so close! Plus I got to see her new son who is 2 months old! So I continue thinking... good that's out of the way. Wrong! After not even another mile, uh oh! The urge to pee is back. Again... thank goodness I run in a business area with lots of fast food restaurants. I had to make a second potty break at Panera bread company. So, hopefully I will still be able to run! My goal is to run until 24-28 weeks. That means I still have 5-9 weeks to go!

Memories

On my way to work today, the sun was trying to break through the fog and it reminded me of my wedding day. As I sat in stop and go traffic, I remembered it like it was happening at that moment! I woke up early ~6am (it's the time change, it would have been 9am "my" time). On the day of my wedding, the fog was still rolling in from the ocean breeze but the sun was trying to break through like the picture above. All the same feelings reemerged. Isn't it weird that months later you can still feel feelings like they are happening right now? The calmness, excitement, anxiety... all wrapped up into one day! I thought since we are on the subject on the wedding I would also post my favorite wedding photo. In case you somehow missed seeing my wedding pictures, you can see a montage created by my photographer at http://www.fitzpatrickstudios.com/Besmer/. She did a great job!

For those wondering how married life is... well, it is the same as it was before the wedding. Matt still doesn't wash dishes, do laundry, or clean toilets! But I knew that going into the marriage right? What's a girl to wish?!

My Mommy pregnant with me!

You always wonder how you will do when you are pregnant. Well, here is my Mom!

Nothing new to report with me. I went to the Air force lab today. They took 8 vials of blood!!! My first OB appt with Langley Air force base is on Friday. But I only get to meet with a nurse. They better darn well get me in to see a doctor soon. I haven't seen a doctor since I was 10-11 weeks along so I'm getting a little anxious. I put on a pair of my pants today. They don't button of course, so I have to loop my rubber band through the loop and hook it to the button... but anyways, they felt a little loose. So now I am paranoid that I am not getting bigger.

17 weeks!

Nothing new to report last week. No movements that I can think of. Sometimes I think it might be movement. Maybe in the next couple of weeks, I can confirm it really was the beginnings of feeling this thing inside of me.

Weight status: Up 5.2 pounds.

Today was fun packed filled full of chores! Fun! I started the day with a quick day at work. Then onto the grocery store, cooked lunch, washed dishes, started on laundry. Next up - fold laundry, make lunch for the week. How am I going to do this will a little tike attached to me 24/7? Good thing I still have 23 weeks left to figure that out!
